Beginning her career as a university lecturer at the age of 23 was certainly not the norm. Nor was earning her PhD in Educational Leadership and Organizations at the age of 26 or writing her first business book at the age of 32. Cyndi Laurin lives by the tenets she presents to thousands of people every year, and she firmly believes that greatness (or having an extraordinary life) is generated from within. Cyndi believes it is possible for anyone to live an extraordinary life, and from her commitment to the success of people and organizations, she intends on spending the rest of her life encouraging and facilitating others’ journeys in paving their own roads to greatness. Over her years in teaching and working with several large, global and small, family-owned organizations, Cyndi began to recognize patterns in how individuals and organizations hinder themselves from being truly extraordinary. She realized that it was not lack of knowledge, lack of theories, tools, initiatives, strategies, or consultants that resulted in so many ordinary organizations...but simply, too much focus on tactical efforts without consideration for more powerful driving intangibles, such as awareness, values, and thinking. Believing that thinking about thinking results in results; Cyndi is currently working on more business books and travels regularly throughout the world in an effort to provoke thinking, both individually and collectively.
